Overview

Role:
Software Engineering Manager for World-Check On Demand within Risk Intelligence at London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG). This is a cloud-native software leadership role focused on supporting compliance workflows globally.

Location:

London (as part of LSEG).

• Lead and mentor a team of developers to deliver high-quality, compliant, and performant solutions for the World-Check On Demand application.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Compliance SMEs, and Architecture teams to develop and implement the technical roadmap aligned with strategic goals.
• Drive the development of cloud-native applications and services on AWS, embedding LSEG engineering standards and best practices for security, reliability, and operational integrity.
• Integrate APIs and data services into the Risk Intelligence ecosystem to enable scalable, future-ready capabilities.
• Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, technical excellence, and accountability across the engineering organization.
• Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders and support agile delivery and decision-making.

• Solid foundation in computer science or a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum six years of hands-on software development experience, with two+ years in a leadership or mentoring capacity.
• Strong proficiency in Python and a track record of building distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud services, particularly AWS (e.g., Lambda, S3, IAM) is a strong advantage.
• Ability to design and deploy modern cloud-based software in an agile environment; data-driven decision making.
• Solid understanding of Dev Ops practices, CI/CD pipelines, and secure software development.
• Good communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams; experience building secure, cyber-compliant applications.
• Exposure to SaaS or PaaS product development and API-first strategies; familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform or Cloud Formation) and container orchestration.
