Job Description & How to Apply Below

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Engineer to join a leading asset manager that is making a significant investment in its data and analytics capabilities. They are looking for a new Data Engineer to help onboard their next-generation data platform and enhance their existing data platform.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong foundations in SQL, Python and Snowflake who enjoys building robust data products, designing scalable pipelines, and working across a modern cloud environment. You’ll have real ownership, exposure to a growing platform, and the chance to influence how data is engineered and consumed across the business.

What you’ll be doing
  • Designing, building, and enhancing end-to-end data solutions using SQL, Python, and best-practice data transformation techniques.
  • Helping to migrate and transition datasets into Snowflake, while developing scalable, cloud-native Python data pipelines that underpin analytics and reporting.
  • Contributing to the ongoing evolution and optimisation of the Snowflake platform, with a strong focus on data quality, consistency, and performance.
  • Supporting day-to-day data operations, including continuous improvement within the existing SQL environment and occasional development work in C#.
  • Working closely with data engineers, analysts, architects, and business stakeholders to shape requirements and deliver well-structured, scalable data outputs.
  • Playing a part in the firm’s broader focus on data governance, platform stability, and future enhancements as the Snowflake environment matures.
What we’re looking for
  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL and Python gained through building, maintaining, or enhancing data pipelines and products.
  • A solid understanding of data platform principles, data maintenance, and quality control.
  • Comfort working in cloud-based data environments, with direct or early-stage experience using Snowflake and modern Python development frameworks.
  • Cloud experience, ideally AWS.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

This is a chance to join an established asset manager at an exciting point in its data journey. You’ll have the opportunity to help define the next phase of a Snowflake-centric data platform, gain exposure to more advanced data engineering initiatives, and grow your impact as the platform scales.
