Job Description & How to Apply Below
At UK Power Networks, we value your expertise and dedication. We offer a competitive salary of £30,000 with a 7.5% bonus, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, comprehensive private medical cover, a generous pension scheme with company contributions up to 10%, and a range of tax-efficient benefits.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of IT Software and Hardware Asset Management. Your analytical, administrative, and organisational skills will ensure that our asset records are accurate, our assets are used efficiently and that we remain compliant and audit-ready at all times. You will manage and resolve discrepancies within the Asset Management Database, facilitate the Joiner-Mover-Leaver process, and provide insights to help us optimise our portfolio of around 5,000 laptops, 3,000 field devices, 5,300 mobile phones and 200 licensed desktop applications.
Your work will include compiling analysis on licence positions, supporting software renewals, identifying process improvements, and ensuring rigorous data-driven management of our hardware estate.
We are looking for candidates with at least two years' experience in IT departments with a strong background in data analytics, small project management, and stakeholder collaboration. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel, TEAMS, and Power
BI, is essential. Familiarity with ITIL, ITSM, ITAM processes, IT hardware asset management, software licensing, and tools like Service Now and Intune will give you a distinct advantage.
As part of our IS Department, you will contribute to delivering outstanding solutions and support, instilling confidence throughout the business. Your commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards will be fundamental, as will your dedication to maintaining an inclusive workplace where everyone is respected, supported, and empowered to thrive, regardless of background or identity.
Join us at UK Power Networks and be part of a team that is not just powering homes and businesses but is also powering positive change. Apply by 13/01/2026 and take your place at the forefront of IT asset excellence
