Senior Legal Counsel, Employment, to join our legal team in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to become the trusted expert on employment law across EMEA, making a real difference in a fast‑paced and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal support to HR across EMEA, especially in the UK and Europe.
  • Lead legal engagement with European works councils, particularly in Germany.
  • Advise on employee relations, employment projects, and TUPE matters.
  • Monitor legislative changes and guide HR on implementation.
  • Support AVEVA’s whistleblowing / speak‑up programme.
  • Collaborate with the Legal Director on commercial disputes as needed.
Essential Requirements
  • Qualified employment lawyer with a practising certificate in the UK or a major European jurisdiction.
  • Experience with works councils in Germany and understanding of other European jurisdictions.
  • Several years of post‑qualification experience in employment law.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and European works council legislation.
  • Prior in‑house legal experience, with ability to hit the ground running.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Desired Skills
  • Additional European language skills, preferably German.
  • Willingness to take on broader legal work, including commercial disputes.
  • A proactive, collaborative attitude and strong cultural fit with AVEVA’s values.
