Project Manager, Program ​/ Project Manager, Operations Manager

Position: Project Manager (Permanent)
I have an exciting opportunity with a well-established construction consultancy based in Liverpool Street, who are searching for an ambitious and hard-working Project Manager to support the delivery of the full lifecycle of projects in the Retail and Education sector.

The Company that the Project Manager will join:

The Project Manager will be joining a successful consultancy that have 5+ offices in the UK and a strong pipeline of projects in the Retail and Education sectors. The Project Manager will be working alongside a team of 15 consultants including Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors and Project Directors.

The Project Manager role:

The Project Manager will bring experience delivering the whole lifecycle of schemes which are predominantly refurbishments and fit outs with contract values ranging from £250k-£5m.

The Project Manager will be working with well-known brands so will need to be able to communicate clearly with clients.

The Project Manager will be collaborating with the Quantity Surveyors appointed to the same projects throughout all stages of the lifecycle to ensure that costs are being controlled.

You will be responsible for:

Collaborating with whole Project Management team to drive schemes forward to completion
Communicating with external parties such as contractors and sub-contractors
Support/mentorship to Assistant Project Managers
Reporting progress feedback on Projects to Senior members of the Project Management team
Work closely with Quantity Surveyors during all phases of project life cycles
Reviewing costs with Cost Consultants regularly to ensure Schemes are within Budget constraints
Attending weekly site visits
Arranging and attending client meetings
Ensure all works are compliant with safety and quality standards

Project Manager requirements:

Previous experience working for a consultancy
Exposure to delivering projects in Retail and Education sector
MRICS or MAPM Chartered is preferred
BSc/MSc Construction Project Management
Capable of working on Schemes simultaneously
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
