Salary £38,976 to £52,767 per annum (subject to experience). Permanent, Full Time, Wandsworth.
AboutThe Role
- undertaking assessments of individuals and carers to encourage independence, provide support and prevent harm.
- working in partnership with service users and carers using a person‑centred approach, with the aim of maximising independence, wellbeing and choice.
- applying social work principles and values to guide professional practice and respect diversity.
- Have a ‘can do’ attitude to work.
- Continuously seek better value for money while meeting resident’s outcomes at lower cost.
- Have the interests of residents and service users at heart, ensuring the highest standards of service provision.
- Take a team approach that values collaboration and partnership working.
- Maintain knowledge of current developments in relevant legislation, national guidance and frameworks, and how to access more detailed information (including safeguarding responsibilities).
- Be able to make rapid judgements, even in emergencies.
• Post qualification experience and a good knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding responsibilities in the local authority.
• Good communication, decision‑making and time‑management skills.
