BackgroundWe are looking to recruit a programme manager to support the delivery of an ambitious research programme that develops a suite of community rehabilitation interventions for people with peripheral artery disease. This 5‑years research programme is led by Professor Lindsay Bearne and funded by the National Institute of Health and Care Research.
ResponsibilitiesThe programme manager will work closely with Chief Investigator to co‑ordinate all research, public involvement and research inclusion activities. We’d like to hear from candidates with experience of setting up and managing research project oversight systems and operational activities, strategies to engage with marginalised and underserved communities, effective communication strategies and financial administration.
Person SpecificationKey attributes of the successful applicant include:
- a successful track record in research project management and/or office administration
- strong ability to engage with marginalust communities and groups often excluded from research
- strong proficiency to manage time and workload effectively to meet competing priorities and deadlines
- demonstrable experience of successful financial administration
- excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- enthusiasm and personal initiative to solve problems, a self‑starter with ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team
