Machine Operator

To safely operate, maintain and improve a packing line to meet the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) plan cost effectively and to agreed customer requirements.

Mon-Friday

• Week - 3 night shifts (Mo,Tu,We)
• 2 dayshifts (Mo,Tu) & 2 night shifts (Th,Fr)
• Revert to Week 1 etc.

• Operate packing line(s) and other offline equipment to safety, environmental, quality, hygiene and output standards
• Complete required quality checks, compare results against specified parameters and follow Company Quality procedures for action where required optical.
• Adjust plant when appropriate to ensure agreed specifications are maintained
• Use FLT’s to supply lines with packaging equipment
• Use knowledge and experience to anticipate problems where possible and to solve problems when they do occur using relevant CI tools
• Record quality and performance data, and monitor line performance trends and material usage taking corrective action where appropriate
• Clearly communicate handover information and issues within packing team of Operators and Maintenance Technicians
• Involvement in continuous improvement projects where appropriate
