VP, Head of Partnerships Marketing

We are seeking a dynamic Head of Partnerships Marketing to act as a strategic consultant and executional lead for our global portfolio of lifestyle events. This role is responsible for building integrated partnership marketing strategies that connect sponsors, rights holders, and event teams—transforming sponsor ships into impactful marketing platforms.

Working closely with the global partnerships sales team, event directors, marketing, and rights holders, you will develop best‑class strategies, advise local teams on delivery, and stay hands‑on in activation execution. This is both a strategic and executional role, ideal for a leader who can design the playbook while also rolling up their sleeves to bring campaigns to life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Revenue responsibility:
Working seamlessly with the sales teams across the BUs to learn about owned assets; work shoulder to shoulder on brand pitches, from soup to nuts, and tactically and strategically present relevant value‑add proposals.
  • Strategic consulting & alignment:
Collaborate with global partnerships, event directors, and rights holders to co‑create integrated marketing strategies; ensure alignment of shared brand values, audience fit, and commercial objectives in all sponsorship activations; build frameworks and toolkits for local teams.
  • Strategy development & presentation:
Lead the development of creative partnership concepts, activation plans, and campaign strategies to present to rights holders and partners; translate global strategies into localized executions while preserving brand consistency; act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Executional leadership:
Stay actively involved in hands‑on execution—content creation, campaign rollout, fan engagement activations, and hospitality delivery; manage the creative team, defining processes for the wider sales group to maximise efficiency; partner with local marketing teams; identify and solve on‑the‑ground challenges.
  • Measurement & business impact:
Define clear KPIs for awareness, affinity, engagement, and commercial returns; track performance, analyse results, and share insights with partners and internal stakeholders; continuously refine strategies based on results and emerging trends.
Key Qualifications
  • 10+ years’ experience in partnerships marketing, sponsorship strategy, or integrated brand marketing within sports, entertainment, or lifestyle events.
  • Strong consulting‑style approach—able to influence senior stakeholders while guiding teams with actionable advice.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and presenting integrated sponsorship marketing strategies.
  • Experience working with rights holders, global brands, and event properties.
  • Ability to balance high‑level strategy with hands‑on execution.
  • Excellent relationship management, communication, and presentation skills.
Success in This Role Will Look Like
  • Acting as the go‑to strategist for sponsorship marketing, trusted by global teams, rights holders, and partners alike.
  • Building compelling marketing strategies that local teams can confidently activate.
  • Driving fan engagement, brand amplification, and measurable ROI across diverse lifestyle events.
  • Ensuring every sponsorship is maximised as a platform for both partner value and event success.
  • Helping to secure sponsor ships that previously might have fallen between the cracks due to lack of knowledge, capability, experience, etc.
Travel
