Centre for Gene Therapy and Regenerative Medicine (CGTRM) is located on the Guy’s Hospital Campus in central London. It acts as a nucleus for vibrant research community spanning the entire University and the NHS Foundation Trusts of King’s Health Partners Academic Health Sciences Centre. The goal of CGTRM is to bring together researchers with diverse skill sets and a common interest in elucidating the extrinsic and intrinsic signals that regulate stem cell behaviour.

The Spagnoli group in the Centre for Gene Therapy and Regenerative Medicine is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic junior-level bioinformatics technician to work within its research group, on a Wellcome Trust funded project to elucidate pancreas development.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the interface of wet and computational research. We seek to recruit a dedicated candidate with expertise in bioinformatics to work alongside a PhD student and post-doctoral research associate on a project that combines stem cell biology and single-cell omics to improve pluripotent stem cell (PSC)-derived pancreatic organoids for diabetes cell-therapy. The post holder will work with single-cell transcriptomics data analysis to resolve lineage barcorded cells and reconstruct cell lineage trees and simultaneously profile gene expression.

The post-holder may be asked to participate in other projects within the group.
