Trade Counter Sales - Builders Merchant

Interaction Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Trade Counter Sales candidate from a builders merchant background to join their busy client in Hanwell on a full-time permanent basis. This role works Monday to Friday 07:00 to 16:30 and Saturday 07:00 to 10:30 (1 Saturday on 1 off rota).

Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 per annum DOE.

• Serve customers over the trade counter.
• Liaise with customers and suppliers via phone and email.
• Send quotes and process orders.
• Build rapport with existing and new customers.
• Bring on new business and re‑activate lapsed customers.
• Support yard and back office staff.
• Provide product knowledge to customers.

• Previous trade counter experience.
• Previous experience working in a builders merchant.
• Fluent in Urdu, Punjabi, Arabic or Hindi preferred but not essential.
• Confident facing customers.
• Strong numerical skills to work out margins and product quantities.
• Computer literate.
• Able to work Monday to Saturday.
• Local to Watford or able to commute easily.
• Good telephone manner.
