Construction Security Manager – London
Join Tetra Tech’s Engineering team as a Construction Security Manager based in London. In this role you will lead the security oversight for large‑scale, sensitive projects, working closely with clients, contractors, and national technical authorities.
Your RoleAs the primary security lead you will interpret Security Aspects Letters (SALs), develop isolation strategies, coach the construction security team, and ensure compliance with all UK security requirements.
Responsibilities- Managing contractor and construction due diligence security teams
- Compliance with the Security Aspects Letter (SAL) and other security rules for project delivery
- Client liaison
- Engagement with National Technical Authorities
- Managing and reporting project security reviews
- Managing project security risk
- Development of construction security policy
- Supporting Senior Staff in delivering business objectives
- Developing colleagues in our early careers programme
- Experience of working in a high security project environment
- Experience delivering construction security on complex projects
- Experience working with UK’s leading Technical Authorities such as UK NACE, NPSA, NCSC
- Experience of security of construction materials from supplier to installation / construction
- Experience in delivery of physical and personal security during construction
- Ability to work collaboratively with clients to deliver results
- Strong understanding of security processes and compliance with Government security requirements
- Strong communication skills both oral and written, including managing meetings with stakeholders of varying seniority
- Collaborative approach including managing large security teams and working closely with multi‑stakeholder client teams
- Good practical knowledge of Microsoft Software, including Excel, Project and Word
- Professional and ethical in everything that you do
- Hold relevant security qualifications or demonstrate significant experience and ability to achieve qualifications such as MSyl or RSES
- Hold a UK Driving Licence
- Be a sole UK National
- Be able to obtain and hold the highest security clearance through our vetting team
