Housing Support Officer

Position: Housing Support Officer (Contract)
Supported Housing Officer – Uxbridge (Temporary, 3 Months + Extension Possible)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Supported Housing Officer to join a respected service in Uxbridge. This is a temporary position for an initial 3-month assignment, with the strong possibility of extension.

About the Role

You will provide high-quality, person-centred support to vulnerable adults living in supported accommodation. Your work will focus on helping residents maintain their tenancies, enhance their wellbeing, and progress toward greater independence.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage a caseload of approximately 20 clients, carrying out weekly visits

* Complete risk assessments, support plans, and regular reviews

* Ensure full adherence to safeguarding procedures, escalating concerns appropriately

* Support clients with mental health, substance use, financial difficulties, and social barriers

* Encourage engagement with relevant external services, including healthcare and community agencies

* Assist residents with tenancy sustainment, rent arrears, and general housing-related queries

* Maintain accurate case notes, reports, and compliance documentation

* Work independently and confidently, including safe lone working

* Promote positive outcomes and empower residents on their journey to independence

What We’re Looking For

* Strong safeguarding knowledge and experience working with vulnerable adults

* Background in supported housing, floating support, or tenancy sustainment

* Excellent communication, organisational, and crisis-management skills

* Ability to build rapport, maintain boundaries, and manage complex behaviours

* Someone available to start ASAP and able to hit the ground running
