Senior Full Stack Developer

Our client is looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to play a pivotal role in modernising critical systems and processes, improving efficiency, and reducing operational risk.
You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to design, develop, and maintain robust full stack software solutions. The role spans the entire software development lifecycle and requires strong technical expertise, a collaborative approach, and experience delivering high-quality solutions in an Agile environment.
Location

* Must be assigned a base office in line with client guidance

* Most work can be completed remotely

* Travel is expected to support service users, attend in-person team meetings, and visit operational sites to understand user needs and test solutions

Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you will:

* Design, develop, and maintain full stack software solutions using modern technologies

* Collaborate with internal teams to design, create, and enhance software products

* Work on existing codebases, improving resilience, stability, and performance

* Deliver core MVP functionality using Agile methodologies and fortnightly sprints

* Apply best practices to enable continuous delivery and deployment

* Improve the resilience, reliability, and maintainability of software systems

* Create and maintain clear documentation throughout the SDLC

* Support testing and validation with service users and stakeholders

* Contribute to the development and deployment of containerised applications
Skills & Experience (Essential)

* Expert knowledge of Python

* Strong front-end development experience using HTML, CSS, and frameworks such as React and Angular

* Expert understanding of relational data models and database applications

* Proven experience collaborating with teams to design, build, and maintain software

* Strong experience working in Agile environments, delivering MVPs in fortnightly sprints

* Hands-on experience with containerisation technologies

* Experience producing technical documentation throughout the SDLC

* Experience working with and enhancing existing codebases

* Proven ability to improve software resilience and stability

* Experience applying practices that support continuous delivery
Desirable Skills & Experience

* Experience designing software that allows users to view and interact with documents (PDF, Word) or images

* Experience working with cloud-based platforms, particularly AWS
