Software Engineer | Front End - React | London - Hybrid

Our client is a forward-thinking global firm that’s redefining the future of finance through technology.

They are looking for a Front-End React Engineer who’s passionate about clean design, performance, and scalability, someone who thrives on combining creativity with technical precision.

You’ll join a dynamic development team, responsible for building the tools, platforms, and applications that empower investment professionals across the business.

The team is currently re-architecting its technology stack to become fully cloud-native (AWS), using React for front-end development and Python for backend services.

You’ll be working in a culture that values craftsmanship, test-driven development, clean code, and collaboration through pair programming and code reviews.

• Build dynamic front-end applications and UI components using React, Type Script, and modern libraries.
• Collaborate with UX and product teams to refine user journeys and ensure intuitive design.
• Deliver scalable and testable code within a cloud-native architecture.
• Partner with portfolio managers, researchers, and analysts to translate complex needs into smart technical solutions.

📍London City, hybrid working model with 3 days per week in the office.

• Strong experience with React, Type Script, Redux, Apollo Client , and Graph
  
  QL / REST APIs .
• Experience working in a cloud-native environment ( AWS or Azure ).
• Familiarity with data streaming (Web Sockets, chunked responses) and front-end performance optimisation .
• Strong understanding of testing frameworks (unit, integration, E2E) - Playwright experience a plus.
• Bonus points for knowledge of Material UI or other design systems, and data visualisation tools.
