The Role – Sports Coach

Looking for an enthusiastic Sports Coach to work with pupils aged 11–19 in a specialist SEN school. In this role, you will plan and deliver structured, inclusive sports and physical activity sessions that support pupils’ physical development, confidence, and emotional regulation. You will adapt activities to meet a wide range of additional needs, ensuring all pupils can participate safely and positively.

You will work alongside teachers and support staff to engage pupils in PE lessons, small-group interventions, and active break-time activities. The role also involves promoting teamwork, resilience, and positive behaviour, using sport as a tool to support wellbeing, communication, and personal development.

The School – Sports Coach

This SEN school, approximately a 10 minute walk from the closest bus station is a special academy for students with low incidence special educational needs. Their core value is centred around ‘being nice and being kind’ allowing student to effectively communicate, persevere and achieve. Within their latest 2023 Ofsted report, this school achieved good, with their focus on achieving outstanding within their next report.
