Working hours: 9-5.30pm Monday-Friday (37.5 hour week)
Who You'll be Working For: International soft commodity merchant.
To be successful in this role our client has said it is essential that candidates:
- Have a visa or right to work that is longer than two years
- Logistics experience in soft commodities
Shipping Operations and Insurance Coordinator - What You'll be Doing:
Working with the Trade team the individual you will be responsible for the physical shipment of cocoa bean to our customers.
Duties will include:
- Working with the Operations Manager to provide logistics support to the trading team.
- Liaising with overseas operations, suppliers, shipping lines, freight forwarders and warehouse partners.
- Monitoring of shipments and all related documentation.
- Checking & processing invoices for payment and liaising with the Accounts team.
- Timely and accurate entering of data to the in-house system.
- Monitoring and handling of damages in accordance with FCC rules.
- Assisting with Insurance Claims, submitting monthly insurance declarations and reporting.
- Position keeping.
- Providing management reports using Excel – working knowledge of Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs & IF functions desirable.
Shipping Operations and Insurance Coordinator - The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:
- Proven experience in shipping/logistics within a similar environment.
- Soft commodities related experience.
- Highly organised with the ability to track and manage a variety of shipments within a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage a high volume of shipments with large quantities.
- Prior experience of insurance.
- Excellent communication skills.
- The role will involve international travel, both to origin countries as well as 3PL/4PL providers across Europe (10-20%).
