Position: Locum Consultant in Paediatrics with an interest in Neurodisability

Role Overview

This is a locum appointment for UHDB Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust based at Derbyshire Children’s Hospital at the Royal Derby Hospital, although other services are provided across all the Trust sites including the Queens Hospital Burton site and peripheral clinics at Ripley, Ilkeston, Lichfield and Tamworth. We are looking for an enthusiastic Paediatrician to join our flexible team and compliment the range of services provided.

Any applicant who wishes to work less than 10PA will be eligible to be considered for the post; if such a person is appointed; modification of the job content will be discussed on a personal basis with the Paediatric Clinical Director and Assistant Clinical Director for the General paediatrics in consultation with consultant colleagues.

Provision of a comprehensive General Paediatric service to UHDB NHS Foundation Trust & surrounding areas, with responsibility for the prevention, diagnosis & treatment of illness, & the proper functioning of the department.

Responsibility for the continuing care & treatment of patients in your charge & personal performance of clinical duties as agreed in your job plan, allowing for all proper delegation to, & training of your staff.
