Estimator, Engineering, Engineering Design & Technologists

Engineering @365 is working with a well-established designer and manufacturer of structural, secondary and architectural steel solutions, providing end-to-end design, manufacturing, and installation services across a range of industrial and commercial sectors. The company is now seeking an Estimator to join its growing team.

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Estimator with a background in structural, secondary, or architectural steelworks. You will manage the full tendering process, from interpreting drawings to producing competitive bids and manufacturing packages, while collaborating with internal teams and clients. The role also involves maintaining client relationships, identifying new opportunities, and supporting business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

* Read and interpret technical tender drawings and specifications

* Extract accurate material quantities and price accordingly

* Build detailed costings covering materials, labour, plant, and site operations

* Establish and manage supply chain costs

* Produce and issue professional quotation documents

* Liaise with clients to secure new and repeat business

* Negotiate and finalise tenders

* Maintain an up-to-date understanding of market pricing

* Provide prompt, high-quality responses to all enquiries

* Lead handover meetings with Contract Managers following tender acceptance

What we’re looking for:

* Proven experience as an Estimator in structural, secondary, or architectural steelworks

* Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

* Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail

* Strong negotiation and client-facing skills

* Experience building accurate material, labour, and site costings
