Maintenance Officer - Brooksby College

Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Maintenance Officer to join our busy, customer‑focused Estates department. The role involves supporting a proactive maintenance service that meets the needs of the college now and in the future, innovating in both planned and reactive maintenance.

As a Maintenance Officer you will:

• Provide general maintenance support for all aspects of the Estates department.
• Plan and implement maintenance activities to minimise downtime and improve service delivery.
• Respond to reactive maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues promptly.
• Work 37.5 hours per week over five days; occasional Saturday or Sunday work may be required for events such as open days.
• Collaborate with the Estates team to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental policies, including the requirement for an enhanced DBS check.
