FLT & Crane Operator – Join a Growing Engineering Team

We’re currently recruiting for a reliable FLT/Overhead Crane Operator to support operations at a well-established power generation and engineering business in the UK. Key Responsibilities

Forklift Duties:

* Handle incoming and outgoing goods in the warehouse

* Safely move stock and heavy components around the facility

* Ensure loads are properly secured for transport

* Carry out daily equipment inspections and complete all required paperwork

* Flag maintenance issues and ensure regular servicing is arranged

Crane Operations:

* Operate overhead gantry cranes (handling loads up to 50 tonnes)

* Manage the loading and unloading of large or heavy items

* Select and configure lifting gear correctly for each job

* Conduct safety checks of lifting equipment before every use

Warehouse & General Site Tasks:

* Use tools and machinery to assist in production and logistics

* Pick and package items for dispatch in line with orders

* Keep the workspace clean, tidy, and compliant with safety regulations

* Follow internal quality and safety procedures (aligned with ISO standards)

* Accurately complete timesheets and submit weekly

What We’re Looking For

* Experience in warehousing, engineering, or logistics settings

* Familiarity with manual handling techniques and H&S best practices

* Strong organisational skills and an eye for detail

* Able to work both independently and as part of a team

* Knowledge of ISO
9001, ISO
45001, and ISO
14001 procedures is beneficial

* Valid B2 Counterbalance FLT licence (essential or highly preferred)

* Prior experience with overhead crane operations, ideally up to 50T

Working Hours

We are hiring for multiple full-time roles, with fixed shift options available (no rotating shifts):

* Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm – 12:30am
