Location: Kegworth

Transport Planner Kegworth DE74 (Onsite Role) 12 Month Contract - likely to extend and be rolling for the right person 37 hours a week; once fully trained, you’ll work 1 week of shift 1 times then 1 week of shift 2:

Shift 1 - Mon to Thurs 08:30-16:30, Fri 08:30-16:00

Shift 2 - Mon to Thurs 10:30-18:30, Fri 11:00-18:30

Up to £16.51 PAYE hourly rate plus holiday and pension contribution OR Umbrella hourly rates up to £22.41

Our client is seeking a motivated, organised and detail-oriented individual to join the key operational team managing Global Customer Shipments. Full training will be given, so if you are an enthusiastic fast learner - we want to hear from you! You’ll be based in our client’s Global Shipping department in East Midlands Gateway, Kegworth, providing organisational and administrative support to the Shipping team, initially on a 12 month contract which is likely to extend and be rolling for the right person!

What

will the Transport Planner do?
  • End to end planning & shipping of Customer orders to a global network
  • Completion of Export documentation:
    Proforma’s, Labels & Shipping Notes
  • Liaise with Customers & Carriers to arrange & ensure time sensitive bookings take place
  • Facilitate the freight invoice process in line with various carrier invoices through to payment, manage and highlight exceptions through to resolution
  • Flexible in your work approach to support time sensitive deadlines and the needs of the business. This is a key role and may require working different times throughout the day to ensure Customer shipments leave on time
What experience does the Transport Planner need? Essential:
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role within global transportation
    • Excellent organisational and administration skills
    • Ability to use own initiative & resolve problems
    • Able to contribute positively within a team environment
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel - there is a lot of spreadsheet activity
    • Must demonstrate thorough levels of attention to detail when working in a pressurised environment
  • Positive attitude, engaging personality, and confident communicator
Desirable

Skills:
  • Demonstrated experience of using SAP
  • Export Regulation Knowledge
  • Customs Warehouse Experience
