About the Role
Streamline Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of our client based in Epping for a Help Desk Administrator. This role will be the first point of contact for clients and internal teams, managing calls and emails regarding waste-management service requests. You ll dispatch field teams as needed, log jobs, track progress, and maintain accurate records to ensure timely, compliant service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and log incoming enquiries and service requests (e.g., septic-tank emptying, drain unblocking, tanker bookings, flood-response calls) via phone or email.
- Assign jobs to field teams / operators, ensuring details are clear and accurate.
- Monitor job progress, track outstanding work, follow up on deadlines, and update clients on scheduling or delays.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation (job sheets, customer details, scheduling logs).
- Handle general admin duties to support the helpdesk and operations team (data entry, filing, correspondence).
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures, regulatory paperwork, and standards aligned with waste-management regulations.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience in a busy admin or help-desk role.
- Good organisational and IT skills; comfortable learning internal systems.
- Calm, clear communicator able to handle customer calls and coordinate between clients and teams.
- Able to manage multiple tasks, prioritise workload, and adapt to changing or urgent service requests.
- Reliable and flexible, aware that operational needs can change, particularly during emergencies.
