Fit-Out Site Manager – Epping

We’re looking for an experienced Fit-Out Site Manager (SMSTS qualified) to lead internal refurbishment and fit-out works on a live secure project in Epping

This position suits someone with a proven track record delivering high-quality fit-out packages within secure, custodial, or similarly complex environments.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring all work is delivered safely, on time, and to specification.

* Supervise and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and trades across fit-out disciplines (partitions, ceilings, M&E, joinery, HVAC, IPS, and finishes).

* Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and daily briefings with strict adherence to MoJ security and access protocols.

* Review and enforce RAMS and ensure compliance with CDM and MoJ standards.

* Liaise effectively with project management, client representatives, and custodial staff to ensure seamless delivery.

* Maintain detailed site records, including progress reports, diaries, and quality documentation.

* Manage site logistics, deliveries, and waste removal in line with restricted-access requirements.

* Drive quality, safety, and security compliance throughout all phases of the project.

Requirements

* SMSTS (SSSTS may be considered)

* Proven experience in fit-out and refurbishment within prison, custodial, or secure live environments

* HVAC / IPS experience essential

* Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations

* CSCS Black or Gold card

* First Aid at Work and NVQ Level 6 Construction Management

* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel if required

* Excellent leadership, organisation, and communication skills
