Hours:

37 hours per week (Monday to Friday) during the induction period, increasing to 40 hours per week (Tuesday to Friday) on 1 June 2026.

Salary:
During induction period (37 hours per week): £31,537 – £34,434 per annum. From 1 June 2026 (40 hours per week): £34,094 – £37,225 per annum.

Employment:
Permanent. Proposed start date: 16 March 2026.

You’ll be responsible for driving HGV Refuse Collection Vehicles and loading refuse, recycling, garden, food waste, and sacks, prioritising health, safety and customer care. As driver you’ll also act as charge hand, taking accountability for the vehicle and crew each day. Additionally, you’ll assist with in‑cab technology, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all information related to your route.

• Full UK Driver’s Licence
• LGV Class 2 Category C licence
• Valid Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
• Reliability, teamwork, keen awareness of health and safety, willingness to work in all weather conditions
