Job description:

The successful candidate will split their time evenly between two main activities:

Additionally, the role involves seeking funding opportunities for both basic and applied research. The researcher will work on probabilistic methods in machine learning for inference and decision-making in complex environments, with significant freedom to explore and develop new methods. Collaboration with the IDSIA research team and financial sector partners will be essential for implementing these methods.
