Description: We are hiring for our client, a growing electro-mechanical manufacturer based in Craigavon, Co Armagh, who is looking to recruit an NPI Buyer. As the NPI Buyer, you will play a critical role in the procurement process, working closely with engineering and production teams to ensure that all necessary materials for new product introduction (NPI) are sourced efficiently and cost-effectively.

• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify material requirements for new product introduction (NPI)
• Source and select suppliers, negotiate prices, and place purchase orders
• Maintain effective supplier relationships to ensure on-time delivery of materials
• Conduct supplier performance evaluations and manage supplier performance improvements
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures
• Contribute to cost-saving initiatives through effective sourcing strategies
• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and inventory
• Work closely with the engineering and production teams

• A background in purchasing or procurement, ideally in an engineering or manufacturing environment
• Strong experience in NPI or new product development purchasing
• Can read Engineering drawings
• Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and production teams
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Proactive and problem-solving approach to procurement challenges
