Scaffolding Depot Yard Operative

We’re looking for a reliable person capable of meeting the physical demands of the job as some heavy lifting is involved. To join our team at our busy scaffolding depot, this hands‑on role requires working outdoors in all weather conditions and manual handling of scaffolding equipment. You’ll play a key part in maintaining the smooth operation of the yard, including loading and unloading vehicles, sorting and preparing scaffolding components to deadlines, and ensuring the depot remains clean, organised, and safe.

• Manual handling of scaffolding tubes, boards, and fittings.
• Loading/unloading vehicles and organising materials.
• Cleaning, sorting, and preparing scaffold equipment for jobs.
• Assisting yard supervisors and management with general depot duties.
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety procedures.
• Working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Capable of meeting the physical demands of the job as some heavy lifting is involved throughout the day.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather.
• Previous experience in a yard or construction environment preferred (but not essential).
• Manual handling training (we can train you if not).
• Fork lift licence would be helpful but is not a requirement.
