Control Room Operator – Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services

Pay Rate: £13.10 per hour

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off, two alternating shift patterns (6 am–6 pm and 12 pm–12 am)

• Monitor incoming alarm and CCTV signals from multiple client sites.
• Contact emergency services, keyholders, or relevant contacts when an alarm is activated.
• Provide accurate communication.
• Document all incidents and actions taken clearly and concisely.
• Follow standard operating procedures and guidelines to ensure effective response.
• Work effectively as part of a team to maintain 24/7 surveillance and response capabilities.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail, quick decision‑making skills, and remain calm under pressure.

• Proficiency in using alarm monitoring systems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Background check for security clearance.
• Background in security, customer service, or emergency response preferred but full training provided.

Applicants must have a 5‑year checkable history and successfully pass a PSNI check as per BS5979 and BS7858 screening.
