Position: Estimator (Contract)
Estimator - Luton (Demolition & Cut-and-Carve)

Luton (Office-based, 5 days per week)
I'm representing a well-established contractor who are looking to appoint an Estimator to support their growing pipeline of demolition and cut-and-carve projects. This is a long-term contract position, outside IR35, offering stability and the opportunity to work on a range of complex structural and refurbishment schemes.

The Role
You'll be responsible for producing accurate cost estimates, managing tender documentation, and working closely with the project and pre-construction teams to ensure bids are commercially robust. This role is fully office-based in Luton, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

Preparing detailed estimates for demolition, structural alterations, and cut-and-carve works
Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documents
Liaising with internal teams and supply chain partners
Supporting tender submissions and value-engineering proposals
Ensuring all estimates align with project timescales and commercial targets

Experience Required
To be considered, you will need:

Proven experience estimating demolition and cut-and-carve projects
Strong understanding of structural refurbishment, temporary works, and complex interface risks
Ability to produce accurate, well-structured estimates under tight deadlines
Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work closely with project teams and senior stakeholders
