Senior Design Manager

An agile and efficient multi-discipline Main Contractor specialising in delivering high-quality turnkey projects through several regional offices located across the UK. The company has acquired partnerships with some of the UK’s leading developers, occupiers, retailers and logistics businesses. As a result of this they carry out a high level of repeat business including repositioning, new builds and refurbishment.

The company has thrived over the last few years providing expert construction services to the industrial, retail, life science, data centre, and logistics & distribution sectors. Founded by industry experts the company has gained an extensive amount of specialist experience which has aided them in constructing projects ranging from £10m - £100m.

The Role

* Full design management responsibility from pre-construction through to handover

* Leading and coordinating external consultants, architects and specialist subcontract designers

* Managing design programmes, RFIs, technical queries and design risk

* Driving buildability, value engineering and compliance with employer’s requirements

* Working closely with Project, Commercial and Construction teams to ensure design intent is delivered on site

* Involvement in bid support, technical submissions and early design development
