Job Title: Event Technician - Video & Switching
We are recruiting for an Event Technician to deliver technical support for a medical science client's event spaces and meeting rooms for a three‑month fixed term. The role is responsible for ensuring event spaces are set up properly, equipment works correctly, and end users are comfortable with the equipment to provide exceptional service to clients. Regular duties involve unpredictable demands, tight deadlines, and flexible working hours, often extending into the evening.
The team delivers a demanding calendar of corporate events, maintaining the quality and standard of the client's experience. You will play a key part in all aspects of AV for client events, from pre‑planning and identifying technical requirements, to attending meetings in an advisory capacity and executing events. Support for client meetings is also required.
Hours of Support: 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with some flexibility based on demand. The team member will also observe the client's holiday schedule.

- Operate Panasonic AW‑UE150 PTZ cameras, joystick controllers, and auto‑tracking servers for single and multi‑camera events.
- Manage Blackmagic ATEM Television Studio HD8 production switchers for live mixing.
- Configure and operate Datapath Vision
SC, Wall Control, and Planar Direct Light Pro LED walls. - Operate video playback systems, confidence monitors, and projection/display setups (Sony projectors, Sharp displays).
- Integrate video feeds into UC platforms (Cisco Webex Room Kit Pro, Microsoft Teams, Zoom) and streaming systems.
- Pre‑event setup, live execution, and post‑event takedown.
- Collaborate with the auditorium lead, freelancers, and client stakeholders.
- Perform preventative maintenance on AV systems and document all configurations and troubleshooting steps.
- Cross‑cover support during absences or concurrent events.
- Load and cue video content, lower thirds, and graphics packages.
- Perform pre‑event camera framing, lighting adjustments, and switcher routing.
- Ensure recordings are captured and archived properly after each event.
- Provide basic audio mixing support when required.
- Assist in wireless mic setup and DSP routing adjustments in Q‑SYS.
- 35 years in live video production, broadcast, or high‑end AV event environments.
- Proficiency in multi‑camera switching and LED wall control.
- Familiarity with video‑over‑IP workflows and Q‑SYS NV Series endpoints.
- Ability to troubleshoot video latency, sync, and resolution issues in real time.
- Interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with others.
