Job Description
Newstaff Employment Services is looking for a dedicated and proactive Maintenance Support professional to join a busy team.
This role will involve supporting and assisting with the upkeep and repair of various properties with this group of companies.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance work, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. If you take pride in maintaining high standards of operational efficiency, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems.
- Carrying out general repairs, including carpentry, plumbing and decorating.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks and repairs performed.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to prioritise maintenance projects.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in all maintenance activities.
- Carrying out external / internal window cleaning where and within health and safety regulations.
- Monthly health and safety audits.
- Maintaining the grounds, including mowing, flower beds, weeding and pruning.
- Dealing with deliveries and post.
- Driving the minibus as required.
Must hold a full UK driving licence
Requirements- Previous experience in basic maintenance support and grounds maintenance.
- Strong technical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of systems.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools relevant to maintenance tasks.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a maintenance environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexible availability to respond to maintenance needs as they arise.

- Time served apprenticeship
- Health & Safety in the workplace certificate level 2 or 3
- NVQ in construction
- Current First Aid certificate

This role is 40 hours per week. Current hours are 8 am to 4 pm
You will spend 3 days in the Luton office and 2 days carrying out property assessments on site.
Salary£27, pa to £29, pa + Benefits
