** What you'll be doing:
*** Lead day to day transport operations and administration.
* Manage and schedule deliveries, planning efficient routes, ensuring timely and efficient service.
* Communicate effectively and facilitate good working relationships with drivers, suppliers, and customers.
* Responsible for driver compliance: checking tachograph cards, defect checks, PMI, vehicle service bookings etc.
** Knowledge / Experience required:
*** Logistics and transport planning experience with awareness of Transport Legislation.
* Ability to adapt to a fast paced, changing environment.
* Strong IT skills and regional geographic knowledge.
* Proactive, flexible and enthusiastic attitude.
* Team Management experience
* Previous experience within the builders merchants or construction supply industry (desirable).
