Key Responsibilities:
Structural Repair & Assembly: Repair, replace, and assemble aircraft structural components such as longerons, ribs, and skin using drills, rivet guns, and precision tooling.
Component Installation: Fit, align, and install components including flight control systems, landing gear, engine cowlings, and access doors.
Material Fabrication: Cut, shape, and fit sheet metal and composite materials in accordance with specifications.
Technical Compliance: Interpret and work from detailed blueprints, engineering drawings, and aircraft maintenance manuals.
Documentation & Reporting: Accurately record all repair work, inspections, and modifications performed.
Quality & Safety Assurance: Ensure all tasks comply with aviation safety regulations, quality standards, and company procedures.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
Experience: Proven background in aerospace manufacturing, aircraft maintenance, or heavy fabrication.
Technical Proficiency: Skilled in the use of hand tools, precision measuring equipment, drills, and riveting tools.
Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of aircraft structures, systems, materials (metals and composites), and assembly processes.
Professional Attributes: High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, ability to work effectively in a team, and perform under pressure.
Education & Training: Engineering qualification, trade certification, or completion of a relevant apprenticeship.
