Food Technologist

Deputising for Technical Manager to ensure the following is completed :

• Technical Management of customer specific projects working closely with other departments to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Manage the customers technical requirements by liaising with suppliers.
• Driving the quality evaluation and consistency panels across all products within the business and providing an agreed action plan with the relevant supplier.
• International travel to sites for audits (customer and 3rd party) along with 1st productions of customer launches.
• Manage the specification requirements of customers i.e. Word Micros Sedex etc
• Writing and support with specification systems maintenance.
• Supporting with the new product development and managing the launch for these new products.
• Monitoring and manage the internal systems for complaints KPIs and documentation flow.
• Investigating and reporting out of specification micro and chemical results
• Providing process capability data for attributes on new products during the development process and verifying this data after 1st production.
• Customer specific KPI reporting and assessment.
• Ensuring packaging library up is up to date
• QAS writing.
• Working knowledge of internal Quality Management Systems to ensure product safety legality authenticity of the required quality.
• Good working knowledge of Excel particularly formulas.

• Managing annual product testing as per customer requirements
• Investigating and reporting out of specification results
• Artwork approval
• Managing shelf-life testing for all new and existing products
• Supporting Technical Manager with customer queries
• Managing packaging library
• Export technical paperwork / traceability.
• Customer specific complaints trending

You will be a fast learner with excellent attention to detail. You will join the team with a view to developing within the account (One of the Major Retailers) and the technical team. You could be either at graduate level or you may have several years experience within a business.

Mon-Fri Office Hours 2-3 Days a week in the office- HYBRID
