Our clients manufactures specialist tools for the construction industry, and are looking for a Production Manager to implement process improvements, and assist in growing the team's to maximise output and efficiency.

Roles/Responsibilities

Lead and support a small production team, ensuring daily operations run efficiently and safely
Maintain strong performance across output, quality, cost, and delivery targets
Apply Lean principles to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence
Uphold high standards of health and safety across all production activities
Mentor and develop staff, including overseeing training, shift planning, and performance reviews
Ensure accurate stock levels and manage the flow of incoming and outgoing goods
Provide hands‑on support when required, assisting operatives during busy periods or staff shortages
Collaborate with colleagues at their international site when needed, supporting communication and coordination across locations
Report directly to the Managing Director, contributing to wider business goals and operational strategy

About You

Proven background in production management within a manufacturing environment
Able to step into the role confidently and make an immediate impact
Strong experience applying Lean methodologies and driving continuous improvement initiatives
Naturally looks for ways to streamline processes, reduce waste, and boost efficiency
A hands‑on, team‑focused mindset
Understanding of CNC or machining processes is beneficial, but not essential
