Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: Up to $60.00 per hour;
Candidates with a UTSW certification will be paid more.
Mistras Group Inc. is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to for work in Eastern Massachusetts. UTSW or other NDT Certs a plus. This is a full-time position. Candidates must be local to Eastern Massachusetts.
Responsibilities- Perform visual weld inspections in accordance with AWS codes and customer specifications.
- Conduct Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspections following applicable procedures and industry standards.
- Inspect welds, materials, and components for quality and code compliance.
- Prepare accurate inspection reports and documentation.
- Communicate inspection findings with supervisors and customers.
- Follow all company safety policies and client requirements.
- Maintain certifications and comply with applicable codes and standards.
- Perform other inspection-related duties as assigned.
- Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to pass required background screening, drug screening, and client-specific requirements.
- Level II NDT certifications UTSW.
- Previous experience in industrial, manufacturing, fabrication, power generation, or oil & gas environments.
- Additional API or ASNT certifications are a plus.
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings, codes, and specifications.
