Are you a qualified Accountant with solid technical skills and a passion for financial accounting? This is an exciting chance to join a busy finance team during a period of change, providing assurance over financial statements and working closely with outsourced providers. You will play a key role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and insightful reporting in a crucial accounting function.

What you’ll do
  • Plan and oversee the year-end timetable for financial accounts, collaborating with auditors and stakeholders.
  • Prepare statutory accounts in line with IFRS, FreM, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Support interim and year-end audits by producing working papers and resolving queries.
  • Review and improve outsourced financial reporting, ensuring compliance and reliability.
  • Analyse monthly accounts, produce management reports, and provide practical insights.
  • Monitor funding flows, manage daily cash forecasts, and reconcile financial data.
  • Act as the primary liaison between finance and outsourced providers to maintain control.
  • Handle treasury responsibilities, including bank accounts, authorisations, and cash management.
  • Foster strong working relationships across teams and providers to solve issues and streamline processes.
What you’ll need
  • Fully qualified Accountant with extensive technical financial accounting experience.
  • Proven track record in financial accounting, reconciliations, and year-end processes; public sector accounting or financial instruments experience is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the confidence to challenge and influence.
  • Professional, confident, and collaborative, able to build effective relationships internally and externally.
