Based in Macclesfield – Full Time (37.5 hours p/w)
I am seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join my client's accounts team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and compliant handling of client and office account transactions in accordance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules.
Key Responsibilities
Processing and posting all client account transactions, including receipts, payments, bills and transfers.
Completing daily account reconciliations.
Always ensuring strict compliance with the SRA Accounts Rules.
Preparing, processing, and posting bills in line with case progression.
Managing transfers between client and office accounts.
Handling all monies in and out of client accounts promptly and accurately.
Supporting the wider accounts team with office account transactions as required
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records within Proclaim case management system.
Assisting with month-end and year-end close processes and reporting.
Liaising with fee earners and support staff to resolve any accounts-related queries efficiently.
Assisting with compliance audits and ensuring best practice financial management.
The Successful Candidate will have:
Proven experience as a Legal Cashier within a UK law firm.
Strong working knowledge of the SRA Accounts Rules.
Proficiency in Proclaim case management system.
Experience processing office account transactions (preferred).
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills.
Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively across departments.
The ability to proactively manage workload independently and as part of a team.
