Category Manager – Avure HPP

We are expanding our Prepared Foods EMEA Sourcing team and are looking for a Category Manager to join us in Adlington. As a member of the PF Sourcing team you will develop and execute sourcing strategies for key direct categories, delivering innovation and excellent cost, delivery, and quality.

You will lead the source‑to‑contract process and work closely with functions across the organization. A key responsibility is managing supplier relationships within your category area, achieving excellent performance, continuous improvements, and cost reductions from a preferred supplier base. You will implement cost‑reduction and value‑increasing initiatives, collaborating on supply market research, supplier qualification, early supplier involvement, RFQs, negotiations, and contracting. International travel is expected (≈40 days per year).

• Lead the source‑to‑contract process and develop sourcing strategies for direct categories.
• Manage supplier relationships, driving continuous improvement and cost reductions.
• Collaborate on supply market research, supplier qualification, early supplier involvement, RFQs, negotiations, and contracting.
• Implement cost‑reduction and value‑increasing initiatives to meet aggressive targets.
• Travel internationally as required.

• Degree in Engineering or Business.
• Experienced sourcing professional with international manufacturing and sourcing background.
• Sourcing experience in Eastern Europe is a merit.
• Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
