Are you an experienced Assistant Site Manager looking for a new challenge?
A busy housing contractor has a requirement for an Assistant Site Manager for a new development in Macclesfield with 50 units, and upon completion will move onto another development in Cheshire with plans for 100+ units over 2 phases.
The company operates across the North West region building beautiful, modern, energy‑efficient homes, creating communities and neighbourhoods in desirable areas. They work in close partnership with Build to Rent Investors, Registered Providers and Local Authorities to deliver high quality, shared‑ownership and private‑rented homes and affordable housing.
Working on a busy site, you will report to the Site Manager and run construction projects by supervising trades, coordinating subcontractors, managing material deliveries, ensuring quality and safety (HSE compliance), and liaising with sales/customers to meet build schedules and targets, focusing on efficient builds, high quality, and excellent customer satisfaction.
- Site Supervision: Assist the Site Manager in overseeing daily activities, ensuring work methods are correct, and quality standards are met.
- Coordination: Manage subcontractors, trades, and material deliveries to maintain an efficient build program.
- Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Enforce safety protocols, complete documentation, and promote safe working practices.
- Production & Quality: Schedule tasks to hit targets, maintain build quality, and implement new ideas for improvement.
- Customer Care: Liaise with sales and customers, ensuring satisfaction and completing necessary inspections/paperwork.
- Reporting: Report issues that might impact costs or timelines and ensure client/management requirements are met.
To be considered for the role, you must have previous management experience within volume house building and up‑to‑date relevant knowledge of building legislation along with the relevant qualifications and training, including CSCS Manager Card, SMSTS, and First Aid; timber frame experience will be advantageous.
