Category Manager

Overview

We are growing our Prepared Foods EMEA Sourcing team and are therefore looking for a Category Manager to join us in Adlington, England.

• Lead the source‑to‑contract process, working closely with development projects, supply‑market research, supplier qualification, early supplier involvement, RFQs, negotiations, and contracting.
• Manage supplier relationships within your category, driving excellent performance, continuous improvements and cost reductions from a preferred supplier base.
• Identify opportunities, act as a change agent and lead the implementation of cost‑reduction and value‑increasing initiatives.
• Travel approximately 40 days per year to support an international supplier base.

• Degree in Engineering or Business.
• Experienced sourcing professional, preferably in an international manufacturing organization with a sourcing environment.
• Experience in sourcing, with a merit for knowledge of Eastern Europe.
• Excellent communication in English; other language skills considered an advantage.
• Strong negotiation skills, business acumen, and an interest in technology and manufacturing.
• Goal‑oriented, self‑motivated, energetic and enjoys problem‑solving.
