Do you want to work in a friendly, professional and patient‑focused Community Mental Health Team where your skills, knowledge and experience would be valued?
We are looking for a Band 5 mental health nurse to join our team. The successful applicant will work predominantly within the wellbeing clinic, administering and monitoring the effectiveness of medications for patients with complex mental health conditions. You will manage an autonomous caseload of patients within a clinic and community setting.
The position is full‑time, 37.5 hrs per week, based at the Jocelyn Solly Resource Centre. The service operates 9 am‑5 pm, Monday to Friday. You will join a well‑established, experienced and supportive multi‑disciplinary team that continuously evolves and adapts to changing mental health practices. The role also involves service development and personal growth.

Main duties of the jobThe post holder will work autonomously, within a multi‑disciplinary framework, to administer and monitor specialist medications as part of the wellbeing clinic.
The successful applicant will also contribute to the effective running of the clinic: ordering medications, checking stock, performing physical health checks and maintaining clinic machinery.
Excellent communication, clinic note writing and assessment skills are essential. Applicants should have sound working knowledge of mental health disorders and the Mental Health Act.
We offer a thorough induction period, including shadowing established team members. Supervision and training are mandatory with wider training and personal development readily available.
Access to transport for work purposes is essential as the post involves community visits to patients' homes and external clinics.

Person Specification Qualifications- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)
- Ongoing registration with the relevant professional body
- Evidence of continued professional development that supports clinical practice
- Further professional development evidence
- Knowledge of clinical pathways
- Knowledge of local and national initiatives and drivers
- Experience of joint assessment/working with Physical Health Services
- Experience working in a multi‑disciplinary team
- Experience in writing comprehensive care plans and completing/documenting risk assessments
- Post‑graduate experience
- Experience liaising with other services
