IT Support Engineer

Location: Magherafelt area (4 days per week in office + local client visits)
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 DOE
Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Reporting to: Technical Operations Manager
Driving Licence: Essential

A leading Managed Service Provider in Mid Ulster is seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to join their expanding technical team. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality IT support and project delivery across Microsoft 365, networking, servers, and security environments. This role is ideal for someone confident engaging with clients face-to-face, technically curious, and looking for a business that invests heavily in professional development and certifications.

• Provide IT support to clients remotely and onsite across Mid Ulster and NI.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
• Manage and Microsoft 365 and Windows Server environments.
• Support firewall and networking configurations using Fortinet/Forti Gate and Dell technologies (training provided).
• Maintain accurate documentation using internal PSA and IT management systems.
• Contribute to virtualised infrastructure (VMware / Hyper‑V).
• Deliver an exceptional client experience through professional communication and proactive support.

• ✅ Strong experience in IT Support (2nd line or strong 1st/2nd hybrid).
• ✅ Confident supporting Microsoft 365 environments.
• ✅ Solid networking knowledge - DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, VPNs, etc.
• ✅ Excellent communication and client‑facing skills.
• ✅ Must hold a full UK driving licence and own transport.

• Experience with Dell infrastructure, Fortinet/Forti Gate, VMware / Hyper‑V.
• Familiarity with tools such as Acronis Cyber Protect, Connect Wise, Halo PSA, IT Glue, or Ninja One.
• MSP or customer‑facing IT background preferred.

💰 £35,000 - £45,000 DOE
