Technical Head

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a rapidly growing and evolving, entrepreneurial division of a global FMCG employer of choice, looking for an experienced and motivated technical head. As technical head, you will be responsible for creating & delivering innovative solutions for new products & packs, working with co-manufacturing partners, including accountability for technical approval, audit management & ongoing quality measurement.

Key to the success of this appointment will be superb relationship management of significant branded partners and their technical and food safety interaction. The role is based in Maidenhead, but offers hybrid flexible working.

Principal accountabilities

• Lead the category to create & deliver creative solutions for new products & packs, working with co-manufacturing partners.
• Responsible for all technical and quality aspects of the category.
• Build a technical network both internally and externally in the Food Industry for the category.
• Ensure technical factory audits take place for the contract manufacturers, ensuring the necessary expertise & capability exists
• Build enduring mutual and trusting relationships with category supply base.
• On non-conformance & issues resolution, act as the technical point of contact
• Promptly deal with any technical issues which impact on quality, cost or ability to supply.
