Role Overview

ATEN UK seeks an experienced Product Technology Manager to lead technical strategy and customer product engagement across the UK & Ireland. This senior role combines hands‑on solution design, technical leadership, and strategic coordination with ATEN UK and headquarters to drive product success and market growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Solution Design: Collaborate with the sales team in customer meetings to design and present technical solutions, including system drawings and architecture diagrams (AV over IP, KVM, and control systems).
  • Technical Leadership: Serve as the UK’s technical authority—supporting sales, partners, and customers with advanced AV/IT integration expertise.
  • HQ Coordination: Act as the technical bridge between ATEN UK and headquarters. Report on market trends, share product feedback, and communicate new product information and competitive insights.
  • Product Strategy: Analyse market demands and competitor offerings to help shape regional product strategies and positioning.
  • Training & Enablement: Deliver technical training, demos, and workshops to partners, distributors, and internal teams.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience in the AV/IT industry in a technical, pre‑sales, or engineering leadership capacity.
  • CTS certification preferred; HDBaseT or network certifications (e.g., CCNA) preferred.
  • Proven expertise in AV over IP, KVM, and control systems.
  • Strong knowledge of IP networking, video standards, and system integration.
  • Proficient in creating technical drawings and solution designs (Visio or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex solutions clearly.
  • Experience engaging with headquarters or global engineering teams for product feedback and alignment.
  • Self‑motivated, customer‑focused, and comfortable working independently or collaboratively.
