Cloud Infrastructure Architect
Location : Maidstone Area, Kent
Salary : Up to £85,000 per annum
Contract : Permanent, Full-Time (35 hours per week)
About the Role :We’re seeking a skilled and hands‑on Cloud Infrastructure Architect to join a dynamic technology team. This is a key role in shaping and delivering enterprise‑level architecture solutions that support ambitious technology goals.
What You’ll Do :As a Cloud Infrastructure Architect, you will :
- Collaborate with architecture and technology teams on governance and design standards.
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to deliver strategic solutions architecture.
- Develop and maintain an integrated view of technology architecture using industry‑standard frameworks and repeatable approaches.
- Lead technology assessments and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
- Provide consultancy and design support for internal projects.
- Drive maturity improvements within the architecture function.
- Own and maintain domain architecture standards.
- Proven experience in technology architecture and governance within enterprise‑scale environments.
- Strong understanding of technology project life cycles and software delivery processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Technical expertise in :
- Cloud :
IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, M365, Azure, Cloud Security, Azure Dev Ops - Applications : .NET, MS Dynamics, SQL Server, SSRS, M365 Apps, Exchange, SharePoint, IIS, Apache
- Security : OWASP, Firewalls, ISO
27001, Azure Security Benchmark, Microsoft Defender, zScaler - Networking :
Switches, Firewalls, Express Route, MPLS, Routing Protocols, CASB, Azure Front Door - Servers : VMware, Windows Server (2008–2025), Linux
- SDLC :
Azure Dev Ops, IaC, Terraform - Familiarity with TOGAF principles.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience with financial systems is a plus.
