Buyer, Supply Chain​/Logistics

ACR are currently looking to recruit an experienced Buyer to work for one of our reputable house building clients located in Kent. This is a temporary position lasting between 4-6 weeks.

Duties include:

Procurement of materials in accordance with specification, budget and site programme. Maximise profitability and minimise risk. Collate issue, receive and review tenders and return quotations. Understand drawings, specifications and techniques. Attend review meetings with supply chain and commercial team. Identify and resolve deficiencies in project documentation and information such as drawings and specifications. Identify items of financial / contractual implications and respond appropriately.

Ensure regular communications and development of supplier relationships. Negotiate and Maintain annual deals with suppliers including rebates and discounts. Recover or cause to be recovered rebates. Maintain and update price library for Materials and Subcontractors. Maintain and update Standard House Type Materials Schedules. Continually monitor market place and advise of alternative or new materials and methods which will increase profitability of the company.

Ensure relevant health and safety information of materials is received and recorded by the company. Place materials orders in good time and for full sites ensuring copies are issued to the production team and surveyors. Check material invoices received against delivery tickets and sign off for payment. This role will see you work five days a week from their office.
