About the Role and Client:

Our client, a respected manufacturing company, is seeking a Hybrid Production Operator to work with heavy machinery and computer-controlled equipment, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This multi-skilled role involves machine setup, operation, maintenance, and quality checks.

Shift Pattern:

* 4 on / 4 off, rotating between days and nights

* Day shift: 06:00 – 18:00

* Night shift: 18:00 – 06:00

Responsibilities:

* Set up production equipment and supplies for job orders.

* Operate machinery safely and effectively.

* Inspect and maintain equipment with engineering support.

* Perform visual quality checks and record machine data.

* Carry out strip and clean on compounding lines.

* Operate forklifts and industrial vehicles for material transfer.

* Conduct quality testing on manufactured compounds and document results.

* Identify non-conforming material and communicate findings to relevant teams.

* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.

* Recommend process improvements and report unsafe operations.

* Product knowledge and industry experience.

* Effective communication and motivational skills.

* Strong relationship-building and flexibility.

* Working knowledge of Excel.
